During the early morning hours of September 20th, 2015, 24-year-old Fidel Lopez frantically called 911 from his new apartment in Sunrise, Florida. The extremely intoxicated man frantically explained that he found his girlfriend unresponsive in the bathroom after coming in from smoking a cigarette. When police and rescue finally arrive on scene, they found the apartment walls littered with holes, a shattered sliding glass door, and a literal trail of blood that spanned from the couples bedroom all the way to the bathroom - where they found 31-year-old Maria Nemeth deceased.
