Felony Friday - Forge Identity

On June 20th, 2019, Greg Lueck called the Salt Lake City Police Department inquiring about a welfare check for his daughter, 23-year-old Mackenzie Lueck. Greg informed police that three days prior, she was there with her family in California, but had no contact with them since arriving home, which was out of character and unusual for her. It appeared as if she had simply vanished after taking a Lyft from the airport to a park in Salt Lake City. After a thorough investigation, and help from Greg, police were able to track the last known person to talk to Mackenzie. An aspiring writer who released a bizarre prophetic novel entitled, “Forge Identity.”

"I will not be saying the killer's name again." - Love it!

Letting someone know where you are is so important. When I was using dating apps I would tell two friends where I was going, what time, and send a screenshot of the person's photo/account and info of the person I was meeting. It also worked as a good way of filtering out the jerks. I'd mention that I needed to check in with a friend and if they got upset then I knew they weren't worth my time. Most of the time people were understanding and supportive.
