Long Road Home 0.3.0 Update
Added 2020-07-01 01:38:51 +0000 UTCHello all. Firstly, I apologize for the long gap in progress updates. I won't go into everything, but we had a death in the family and it took a bit to sort things out. I'm finalizing the update for 0.3.0 and should have it out in a few days. I've struggled to combine a couple of the paths and keep the story plausible. It will simplify the writing process going forward. Being a newby Dev my desire to have multiple paths far out stripped my ability to maintain that many paths and get updates out in a reasonable amount of time. I did go a bit crazy in the amount of animations I have in the update that caused the game to crash. I had to study on how to change the coding to fix the issue. It runs very smoothly now. You'll see that I'm trying different menu options to see or skip scenes that you are not interested in. I've added some sound effects to a few scenes. I like some of them but others can be annoying to me. I'll run some polls to get feedback on scene menus and sounds to see what you like or prefer.
Take care,
OBD

Hi darlic, thanks for your support and much appreciated feedback. Bear with me. I'm stumbling an bumbling my way through this. Doing this game is so far out of my background and skill sets it isn't funny. There is a big learning curve, but I'm having a lot of fun doing it.

2020-07-08 17:32:53 +0000 UTCHI, as a new patron I want to say you made the right choice. I've seen so many good games being left abandoned simply because the dev couldn't cope with the immense amount of work he put himself into because of bad forethinking by adding too many different paths and outcomes for a one-man project. Just stick with your ideas and try to simplify as much as you can, what really matters is the journey.
