Particles Pyro Advection Orb: Pyro Shader + Tech-Grid

In this final step, I play around with the pyro shader to get different looks, plus I show you how to create the tech-grid inside of our orb.

Orb is finished. On to the next challenge!

Hi Tatina, ok so you are very unhappy with this tutorial series. You know, it´s not a full in-depth course and maybe it was just a mix of all kinds of different ideas. But I didn´t knew it was that bad because overall the feedback was okey. But all good, if you are unhappy with your membership and think its not good enough for you, please send me a direct message for a refund.

I did whatch it until the end, and man oh man, amazing!

Bro, I... have no idea sadly! Good question...

I really enjoyed this Tutorial and learned a lot of helpful stuff about shading along the way. Glad I am not the only one sometimes just forgetting things I knew and then do trial and error. I have one question that has been bugging me for a while, I couldn't find an answer yet anywhere. Since you worked with a lot of emissive materials. Is it possible to control the opacity of an emissive object via lights? I know I can control the opacity with vertex maps but I want specifically to see only the part of the emissive object that is being hit by the light. Is that even possible?

J.D.

ok, some setting in the Maxon noise node is preventing the Noise from affecting the Emission control in the RS preview - it just doesn't seem to have any effect - I don't get the fall off from dark to light like you do, my grid stays lit all over, rather than in cycled patches. I've tried turning off all lights, but there must be a setting somewhere that you haven't shown that allows the Maxon Noise to affect the light and dark patches of the grid.

don't worry - solved it

heya, at 7.35 you plug the Maxon Noise into Emissions color in the RS Standard Material - did you have to add the Emissions control separately? I don't have the emission color port when I create a new standard material.

project files???

Paulo Cantowitz

Hi Moshn, I'm sorry für not sharing the projectfile. I will keep that in mind for future lessons to share Files more often!

Great! Thank you!

The entire tutorial series was great and by no means too long. Cool result and learning. I appreciate it when the functions are briefly explained. For instance, Pyro has a bunch of settings, and half of them seem like a mystery in terms of their actual effects. Cheers.

Hey , would the project files be available ?
