Shaper Poll – Transformation Type 🌀

Hey everyone,

Thank you all for voting in the last poll! The winning premise for the spin-off game is:

🟢 Witness Protection – The MC is an informant with dirt on a corrupt politician and is placed in a strange but secure disguise as part of an extreme witness protection programme. The next step is to choose the transformation type.

Whichever option wins, the core system will stay the same:

You’ll customise your appearance for a disguise (breast size, race, height, hip size, etc.). The more often you pick a particular trait, the more chance your actual body will slowly start to adopt it outside the device. The disguise may also suggest changes you can make to help it work better, and it’s up to you whether to accept them — though they may have knock-on effects too and the device may force changes to adapt to situations. I have a lot of ideas but I think the hardest part will be working out how to make the mechanics I have in mind work.

Over time, the line between disguise and permanent change blurs.

Here are the three possible approaches:

🟫 1. Auto-Wardrobe
A physical room in the MC’s safehouse that dresses them in outfits and applies prosthetics.

🟦 2. Holographic Appearance
A hard light projected disguise that makes the MC appear completely different — though holograms can flicker.

🟨 3. Skin Suit
A high-tech suit that reshapes the MC’s body.

Mechanically, each option works in similar ways, but they each bring a very different flavour to the story.

Personally, I think the Skin Suit is the most exciting. I’ve got loads of ideas for artwork showing it being put on and worn before synchronisation. The Holographic Appearance also excites me visually, while the Auto-Wardrobe and Skin Suit both lend themselves well to a bit of a light body horror spin to. However, I'm probably most wary of the Auto-Wardrobe option as I don't want it compared to The eWardrobe and want to keep things as fresh as possible (I already get enough comparisons to You Throw Like a Girl because of the artwork and homage scenes).

So I leave this up to you all.

This choice will finish deciding the premise for the spin-off, so cast your vote and help shape the story. This will be the last poll for the spin-off game for a while as I shift back to solo brainstorming for it in the background while focusing on updates to A Hair Loss Treatment.

A new dev update should drop soon with a sneak peak at the writing for one of the scenes, as I finally feel ready to start the artwork. Especially now I know what the third outfit's pattern will be, thanks to the other poll! (Green won btw).
