good changes

above is the back cover line art for the VGCnB book. I was approved to let gex over in the corner continue using his, what i consider to be extremely in character, e-cig. Fangamer is cool.

I had a big moment last night where I realized I didn't have to be at the mercy of a timed ending for HiaGB, trying to time out everything so it ends on the anniversary on its beginning. WHILE THEMATICALLY it seems appropriate, realistically, I just want to finish it. Not in a sense of "BE OVER ALREADY" but in a sense of "IMA FINISH THIS STORY AND GET ALL THE MOTHER FUCKERS IN THE WORLD TO READ IT AND APPRECIATE ME."

While not normally that tooting of my own horn, I am proud of hiagb and want to show it in full sooner rather than later. My desire to finish it is true and I don't need a three a week schedule to push myself into it. It's just causing stress when I "take breaks" or miss an update or rush to finish in time. Shit has changed in the internet and comics posted online can change with it. I'm not makin a daily strip, im making a full out book.

All this means is I won't update three a week anymore, but will post pages here on patreon when I finish them, as a patreon thanks. And post finished stories or like half of a finished story, in chunks on the site so it's still readable for everyone else. This could mean it won't be as thick as the first two parts of hiagb were, but I will also be able to fully tell the story and not be stressed about you, the reader. I'm always worried about you, wondering if you'll forget about me, if you'll hate me for this decision or dislike how I'm doing things this way instead of their way. This is a wholly fictitious person, tho sometimes there is someone who crawls out of the woodwork to be that, to be completely honest with you.

But sometimes isn't everyone else. Sometimes isn't y'all right now letting me do this for a living. So forget that guy. When i had this idea, I immediately also had several story ideas for Crange that would be excellent and fill up some space before the final bits. So it feels like the right thing to do, even if I end up being a song-of-a-shit and going back to m-w-f but I hope this works too.

I like getting a whole story arc (or even a chunk) in an update. The frequent updates are good, too, but I prefer the reading experience of flipping through the pages without waiting.

We all love and fully support your decisions Papa. You're the best Pep-pep we've ever had! You do you. ;)
