Sofia's calm tone does absolutely nothing to soothe the former Detective among you who shakes her head dismissively. You trade a look with Ruby who glances away to Nox. She likely agrees with this harsh tactic. "They're lost."

Alek!? Jane!?! RUBY!?!!!!!! My emotions!!! My poor baby and wives 😭 I know this AU is supposed to be about Ruby, but my ultimate wife? Jane!? Oh, no. I can just imagine her thought process after losing Alek like that. The guilt! Ahhhhhh! And even worse the anger! She doesn’t seem to know how to handle her anger either, let alone show it… But I’d guess losing Alek would be one of those things that would push her over. I know I would go absolutely insane if something like that happened to my sister. Poor, poor baby. 😭 I need to give her lots of hugs. (Jane not my sister lol.) And, ‘former’ detective??? Did she quit (unlikely) or was she forcibly relieved of her job/title? I’m 100% sure that Chief Bowser is either a vamp herself or like the #1 vampire defender 😒 Also, not Ruby naming her strap like she does her cars. 😂

It's not just about vampires or spice, the whole Fernweh universe is reacting and I'm obsessed. Fernweh keeps the balance? ??? doesn't like other supernaturals encroaching on their territory? Do vampires have nightmares? Will they start having nightmares? 👀Why did Ruby cover up everything in her room? Why does she look ill for a vampire (probably eating just enough to sustain herself and not go crazy with bloodlust)? WHAT'S IN THE VIAL! I wonder if Jane is still livid over the betrayal. She watched Alek die and Ruby betrayed them all... she might be equally as pissed off as the MC. Jam, by the way, is grasping hard to the anger because if she lets go of the anger, she's not going to be able to fight. HAROLD THEY'RE LESBIANS REFERENCE? RUBY VERNER PAY FOR YOUR GOOFY CRIMES. The sex was scary, sad and hot. "I didn't want any of that, only you, and you're gone." - spray paint this all over Ruby's mansion, lmao. Was it worth it, giving the gang the time and the resources and the safe space... was it worth it to have January alive, but to break THE PROMISE? My girls are *soooooo hurt* and so not okay, and they keep hurting each other, but I don't think this is the last time they're going to have hate sex. 😎

I know you know I am all about connection so you probably already have an idea of how this would effect me but wowza. The emotions on display in this are so fantastically written and I'm having a hard time wording it. Just know it's brilliant and it has gotten to me (positively).
