Lacuna Rambles/Thoughts/Gif Reacts #3: Quippy Banter 🍎😎

I love how I instantly knew which GIF to use for this; however, deciding on the actual banter exchange took me quite some time. 😉 Eventually, I decided to share something from the Corvin dinner since that will be on my mind for a long while. I originally didn't have outlined a tailored personality exchange between the MC and R. Verner, but it naturally flowed while writing once I realized your MCs would want to respond to what R says about the Corvins.

This is a line from a scene where R is curious about how to make a better impression on the Corvins.

"Exactly, but that was no laughing matter. I am typically beloved by parents, teachers, and the like… How are you doing so well with them?"

🍬💚Snarky MCs will then say something along the lines of:

Reese

Beneath Reese's humor is an honest need to understand, but you'll trade quips first. "Did you really just say: 'you were a delight to have in class', Verner?" you ask, laughing at the mock indignation he tries to hide his smile with. "I can think of a few different words."

"I was!"

"You would correct the teachers…"

"For the good of our collective educational foundation," Reese retorts. "You were not exactly a saint either when we competed."

Ruby

Beneath Ruby's humor is an honest need to understand, but you'll trade quips first. "Did you really just say: 'you were a delight to have in class', Verner?" you ask, laughing at the mock indignation she tries to hide her smile with. "I can think of a few different words."

"I was!"

"You would correct the teachers…"

The overall context and actual scene is longer. It goes from quippy to sweet since this only triggers when R is being romanced on the JR poly route. 💜 (That's the only time R attends the family meal.) Also, there are variations for other personality traits too! I just shared the snarky exchange because: 1. its humor and 2. the Ms. Honey glasses GIF. 😋👀🍯
