Question: "Hi, this has been nagging me since forever~. R's special beverage, what is it? Would R share it with MC/J? Does Mama R know it or is she the reason R drinks it? It looks very suspicious to me."

Answer:

Oh, the timing of this question is perfect after our Book Two alpha drop in August! You all will have seen that R's tea is mentioned in it because Turn the Page does not have the specialty blend they prefer to drink. It has been mentioned a few times in Book One, only sprinkled in scenes:

From Chapter 7:

"Some pretentious artisanal tea blend that won't be found anywhere else in town…"

R lightly scoffs at the W's evaluation, pointedly raising their monogrammed thermos to their lips to take a languid sip, because there is no drink for them on that tray.

From Chapter 12, JR route and choice dependent:

"Aw, so the Detective wishes to help because they care? How sweet," R quips with a playful smile, though their sarcasm isn't as snappy as usual. "Do you know what else is sweet? Green tea with organic clover honey."

R's special beverage is a specific type of tea that isn't easily found in Fernweh! ☕

Hmm, R would offer to share it with the MC and J, but they might be reluctant to do so since it's a rather acquired taste. They use quite a bit of honey to sweeten the blend. It's become a habit for them from a young age to drink tea since they once had elegant ‘high teas' with their mom that were more for fun than for anything else along with more formal teatime events. This blend to R is like your own typical morning drink that's become a part of your routine. Ms. Verner does know what is in the blend; she is the one who first introduced it to R when trying to make the tea parties ‘fun'.

You'll later learn she tried to preempt, possibly even soften, some of the cotillion lessons and teachings to make them easier on R.
