Today marks the six month anniversary of TFS Patreon! I sincerely appreciate all of the support, kindness, and encouragement you have shown me. It is an honor and pleasure to write for you, and it means so much to me to be able to share the world of Fernweh with all of you. It's a series that's extremely close to my heart. π₯°
I can never thank you all enough, but I wanted to celebrate our community!
Your favorite characters will now be available on TFS Discord for you to use to express yourself, possibly to convey your feelings about the series, to support your theories about ???, to be super cute while you're having fun/reacting, and more! I hope that you enjoy them all, especially while experiencing the alpha content. There are eleven in total at the moment, though adding R's cat and Bambi is very likely.

Reading this brought such a smile to my face--your gradual realization about the horror aspect of TFS is incredible! I actually love this for you since that means the creep factor and dread naturally set in while you were reading enough for you to have a: o-O kind of moment about the story. Not only that, but you kept reading despite the spooks because you were invested in the mysteries and characters, which means so much to me! π€π₯° Thank you for your congratulations too! What you said about the Wrongness woven throughout the narrative is all I could hope for; striking that balance and creating the atmosphere is so important to me. :D I'm going to be keeping/saving your comment as a pick-me-up. ππ (Also, yes, the Cat's Cradle painting is scary af. Fernweh was a rather special experience to me β On my first playthrough, I went into it completely blind and somehow managed to miss the memo about it being horror. I thought it would be the usual fantasy story of the MC discovering that supernatural creatures lurk in their hometown, and I was ready for it. (In hindsight, the bold italics text in the prelude REALLY should have clued me in πππ The prelude's content was very ominous, but I thought it was just a dramatic little monologue the book's villain was making... though it did unsettle me) It's hard to put into words, but I love how you've masterfully managed to weave a subtle air of utter Wrongness through the book. I got the full brunt of it as a VERY clueless reader who was fully convinced they were reading a β¨fantasyβ¨ story. I remember my experience quite clearly because of how absurdly ridiculous I was in hindsight π Me, watching my MC and B stand before the B&B: Haha, why am I kind of getting an odd vibe here? It's like the air is still. I've been feeling it since we came across that deer. Weird :D Me and my MC, getting absolutely bombarded with pink and lace after picking the Cat's Cradle for a room: I thoughtβ I thought it would be an 80's retro vibe theme with a lot of pawprints and printed catchphrases like, "You're the cat's meow"... Me, watching my MC having a Very Disturbing nightmare with steadily mounting unease: Oh? Creepy... but why the MC, specifically? Were they the only one to leave the town or something? And this supernatural villain thing isn't very happy about that? :D (100%, genuinely offhanded comment π) Me, watching my MC wake up and stare at a seemingly innocuous painting that gets eerier and eerier the more it's described: ... Wait. Wait. No way. No. Is this a... horror story? [I finally stumble my way to the tumblr blog of lacuna fiction β I was very new to the IF community and tumblr as a whole at the time] [I read the demo intro post again and scroll through the blog] And that was how I came to the stunning revelation that, yes, I'm probably the first person to die in a horror movie. Thank you for listening πβ¨ππ
