Author's View: Ripple Effects? More Like Torrential Waves 🌊

This has been one of the more intriguing Author's View posts that I've written since it requires a bit more of a balancing act on my part with spoilers. Walking that fine line to excite you, while still allowing Book Two's twists to play out, is a challenge that I love! The ripple effects in TFS can certainly vary; think of tossing a stone into a lake versus driving a car off of a pier into the ocean versus stepping in a puddle and continuing on your way, unaware of the water you displaced, but you did change it.

Truly rubbing my hands together like a little gremlin, I'm so excited to meddle in Ms. V's life. January will be doing this as her relationship is warming with Ms. V and Josh is on neutral ground so far. He's also *less observant* in these kinds of matters - the matchmaking opportunities would have to blatant or he'll just miss all the tension.

Lol, I suspected that Naia would have swerved in the road for Bambi given her recklessness and fun daredevil energy; plus, I think she has a big heart too. Aizhan will likely enjoy riding the W's motorcycle now that I know this about her. 🏍 Also, you're right that Bambi isn't a minor thing--he will come up again as a butterfly effect. I'm grinning about your second paragraph since that was my hope! I can hint and tell you that with my current plotting, there are multiple ways for this to go down with Ms. V. Don't worry about the ring being kept on; it does impact things, but so does taking it off. 👀 I admire how Naia clearly views R as her person (or at least they will get there; I'm certain of it); her intensity and how that can ebb and flow in relation to R's own emotional needs is very appealing. That she would bite her tongue (or bite through it as you once said) to try and maintain a peace with Ms. Verner versus how she's ready to go at her if she's openly being cruel to her child is epic. 🖤 It's something that R would notice as well. Softening Ms. V is possible! I bet Naia has a fair chance at managing it from what I know of her so far. I can't wait for you to see how the ring can open/close some pathways. 💍 The past crush is important to the story; Aizhan glimpsed the bracelet in the Introduction. The fact that she is secure in the knowledge that she and S would not have worked out--it was more of a passing fancy--will come into play as well. I sense that you're more curious about crush exclusive choices/scenes with M. 😎 I can't say too much due to spoilers; there are other ways to dig into the relationship with M to unlock exclusive moments. (For instance, Naia and Aizhan will have triggered different scenes in the Introduction of Book Two--well, in general, but there are some M-specific ones. They are subtle yet crucial.) You can also learn more about their past which will help to clarify why Aizhan views them as a stranger now/didn't know them as well back then, etc. Not that M will make that easy given how they are /aware/ they're steeped in mystery, but I have it all plotted out for you to start gathering those pieces. It's a puzzle that I think you'll find compelling, just how it all links together. :D Thank you, Chani! 🥰 That means a lot to me because it does take a lot of time/coding for these things to link/align; however, it's in the hope that you all enjoy Fernweh even more. I wouldn't want to tell the story any other way. I'm glad that you're excited for more! 💚🌲💐

Do I even need to tell you that both Naia and Aizhan swerved all over the road to miss Bambi? Hitting the brakes is never something that crosses their minds, lol. The one that had my jaw dropping is Ms. V. A possibility of romance for her??? Holy crap. Of course, she kept the ring on, so I guess that may not happen. But Naia needs a slightly softer Ms. V, lest she have to open a can of whoopass on her for being mean to Reese. She'll kiss the woman's ass, if need be, to make things easier for Reese, but if that woman is cruel to him where she can see it? All bets are off. I wonder how the past crush thing will work with M, too. Aizhan had a crush on Silas when she was a kid (and has quickly realized that would never work), but she didn't know M back then... Hope you know how much we appreciate you keeping track of the little details and having them make waves and/or tsunamis in the story! Can't wait to see more!
