What size/quality are the files?

All of the artwork is designed at 140/200 pixels per inch at 300dpi, and optimized for final jpg files. Everything is created with digital output as the primary target in mind, but is high enough quality for print. You'll find the exact dimensions of the maps on their respective posts, so you'll never have to worry about spending ages aligning grids in a VTT. If you ever find your print quality to be lacking, please reach out! I always want to ensure that paid content is the best possible quality.

How often do you release a map?

My goal is to release on average 2-3 map sets per month, with 3 being the absolute max for paid content. It takes on average a 1-1.5 weeks to put together a full set after I have the design locked in.

What if you don't meet your target monthly goal?

I will always try my utmost to deliver at least 2 quality map packs a month. Each map is hand painted with attention to detail and commitment to high quality art. I am not interested in cranking out high volume maps for the sake of making quick money. I am also a working artist in other industries; and sometimes outside client work needs to be prioritized in order to pay the bills.

This Patreon is set up to charge patrons if and ONLY if I publish a new paid map pack. There is no monthly fee. If for some reason I only put out, say, 1 pack in a given month, you will only be billed for those 1 packs. Not for 2 or 3 packs. There is no risk of being overcharged or financially left dry because I delivered a lack of content.

What if I just want to buy one specific map?

At this time, I do not have an alternate platform to buy individual maps. In the future when my library is fuller, a separate point of sale site may be launched.

What is the content difference between the tiers?

The easy answer is more maps! Advanced and Archmage tiers receive access to alternate variation and additions for each map set. Additionally, all Archmage Tier content is Patreon exclusive. Barring being released to someone under a commercial license, you won't find it available anywhere else.

Do you take requests?

While I cannot guarantee all requests, I will happily take community suggestions for themes and scenarios. after all, I'm painting maps for you folks to enjoy...not just to add to my personal hoard. If you are serious about wanting a personally commissioned map, you can reach out to talk privately or check out the Archmage of Maps donation tier.

How do the Tier 3/Archmage of Maps rewards work?

For a limited time, the first 13 subscribers to this tier will be eligible to commission a personal map with day/night variations, no larger than 20x30 squares. You must have subscribed to this tier for a minimum of 2 full months.

Commissioned maps from this tier are completed on a first come first serve basis. When you get close to the 2 month mark, you'll be sent a message to initiate the design process. We'll chat about what you want, and I'll send you some sketches to chose from. After you've chosen a sketch, it'll take roughly two weeks to finish the map.

These maps are NON-EXCLUSIVE. I reserve the rights to release a free Patreon exclusive version for fellow patrons and share it on social media with a shout out to the commissioner. You may NOT use your personal map for commercial use without seeking prior approval.

Can I use your work Commercially?

In short, no. The artwork released under the Creative Commons 4.0 License. Even though it may be a "paid" asset, you are not allowed to resell, redistribute, or repackage it in any form which would bring you financial gain. Only I retain the rights to profit from the work. If you are interested in using any of my artwork as part of a published module or similar project, please reach out to me privately. I would be more than happy to chat about purchasing a commercial use license. 

If you would like to use my work but are worried about the potential cost, I'm happy to discuss alternate payments like trades and collaborations. I always want to help support other emerging content creators and build our community whenever possible.

What about using your maps during Streaming?

While streaming technically is a commercial adventure, I give full permission to use any of my Patreon assets for live streams and V.O.D. games.  All I ask is that you give credit with a shout out or link back to the Patreon, tag me on social media, ect. This helps promote my work, but also lets me see what crazy and amazing adventures my maps go on. Use my stuff regularly? Let me know and I'll happily help promote your games where I can.
