One of the weirdest and frustrating things about training Pokemon is when you have to trade some species for them to evolve. Well... Team Rocket isn't known to accept things as they are and that's one status quo they want to change!
The executives asked the scientists to study how to forcefully evolve Pokemon into stronger ones. A group have some success at the Lake Of Rage, changing their stupid magikarps into powerful (and even shiny!) Gyarados.
Other group, let by a scientist nicknamed "Featherdance", are attempting to evolve a stolen Machoke into Machamp by forcing it to flex his muscles to the maximum by provoking it with... tickling!
Studies have shown that this move somehow is super effective to some species of Pokemon, no matter their typing or resistance, if done right and on the right places or their body. It's almost a form of art which Featherdance is very fond of! In Machoke's case, the right spot is in the bottom of their feet! It's pure torture to the super muscular Pokemon!
To avoid having a rampaging Machoke in the lab, it was let out right from the Box to the giant pokeball, leaving only his defenseless bare feet outside and very near a trained Smeargle which knows Tickle, with the scientist close by, watching everything and taking notes.
Well... it doesn't look like the Pokemon is showing any sign of evolving soon, but it's levelling up fast inside the machine! Maybe it needs some DAYS inside of it to trigger the evolution.
