BONUS! Crindy, Tuba Player and Paramedics
Added 2024-05-24 08:00:01 +0000 UTCI realise that canonically her name is not Crindy, but I felt such nostalgia seeing her again. It feels so long ago that we covered the first new character of the first episode, I couldn't help but revisit her. There she is, sat next to Homer, same design as "Simpsons Roasting On An Open Fire", but different colouring.

You can see a few similar designs here - it's clear the "Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire" shots were closely referenced for this second school concert.
The tuba player seemed worth covering as we see so many of Bart and Lisa's schoolmates, it's rare to find a design that hasn't been used before. Keep an eye out for this spiky haired scamp in the future!
And lastly, a joke(?) that I had never noticed before: did you notice that the paramedics who help Homer out of his car after the Truckasaurus mishap appear again at the end to usher him into the ambulance?
Is this a joke, or just sensible reuse of character models? I'm not sure. The idea that these guys have to help out the same guy twice in the space of a few days is silly, but you'd think they'd draw more attention to it if so.
