Mountain Spirit Temple (36x48)
Added 2023-11-07 09:32:27 +0000 UTCHey everyone! Let me present to you the Mountain Spirit Temple, the first map for the Fairies & Fables theme. This map can be combined with the Troll Lair or Dungeons of Gaul Falith maps to explore what's behind the entrance.
In the furthest reaches of narrow mountain paths are ancient monument, seemingly erected by the mountains themselves. The old dwarves believed these there the faces of the mountain spirits they worshiped, and made these places into holy temples.
Long ago the dwarves revered the mountain spirits. Despite their dedication to craftsmanship, industry and order, they always strifed for balace and harmony with the mountains they called home.
As the dwarven kingdoms grew, their cities hewn ever deeper in the mountains, they forsook their commitment to balance, no longer asking for the mountain's blessing, or disregarding its warnings. Their disrespect towards to the mountain spirits eventually led to the creation of dragons, the fall of the dwarven kingdoms and the eng of the Age of Dwarves.
Many centuries have passed and these days the dwarves are trying to restore their connection with the mountain spirits once more.
