A New Song For Your Delectations

My dearest Eggies, here I am - after too long - once again sending you an electronic missive. It has certainly been the most intense few weeks of work I have ever encountered - which is surely a gratifying sign that the Jazz Emu Enterprise is tumbling ever forward in a bemusing and thrilling way.

TLDR: Here is tomorrow's new music video, early for you specialest of people. We love it. I hope you do too. Please add it to your playlists when it lands on streaming platforms tomorrow.

It's been a tumultuous Life Segment, and I have barely stopped the last couple of months. Just this week I have:
- performed at a venue that many of my heroes of played, and I always dreamed of playing, London's Hammersmith Apollo. I have been supporting Youtubers Game Grumps on their tour, they've been treating me very well and it's been really interesting to perform to large crowds of people who (for the most part) have little to no idea of who I am. When it works, it really feels good. I've been welcomed most warmly and believe I've made some new fans and friends along the way which is a delectable treat.
- released a music video with UKTV Channel Dave, as their entry to Eurovision. A really interesting process - they came to me very last minute (just a couple of weeks before the intended shoot date) with the idea, and asked me to write a song for them in my style. My first job of this type, and I'm really pleased with how it came out. Honestly the day of the shoot was a wonderful thing - all the bits I adore about making these videos (running about in little outfits, singing my heart out, being pampered by nice people rubbing moisturiser on my face) without the things that I find a lot harder (getting stuff in a van, running into things with the van, rubbing moisturiser into my own eyes by accident). A properly paid job doing the thing I've been practicing for the better part of a decade - I really felt like I was 'doing it' and felt like a special little boy.
- performed a song at a little Eurovision competition in London, full of acts I really love. I'm performing a new song, which I think is really joyous - though in my typical fashion lyrically overwrought - I'm in a cafe now running through the lyrics in my head and realising they key is at least two tones too high for me to sing adequately. Johnk bless me in this quest. I'm really pleased with this song and feel confident it'll make it to a music video and Spotify release at some point. Catchy, as they say, as heck, though I say so myself.
- released a new song and music video, which I'm attaching above. When I get another moment to come up for air on this tour, I'll give you a proper breakdown. In fact, let's do a live breakdown of it on Youtube when I'm back from tour. I'll enjoy that, and I know Hunter would like to unpick some of his masterful visual work on it.
