New Treats In Order To Replete You

Hello my Sweetcakes of the Angels. I just wanted to update you on some Thrilling News. You might have seen some snique-piques on the Discord, but Hunter and I have been working our sweet little tushies off this week and have filmed not one but TWO pieces of exquisite High Budget Boy content.

The first is for a New and Unheard song. The story of this song is a roundabout one. I was in a negative hole at the end of last year. A little creatively exhausted, emotionally stifled, generally life-discombobulated. I then received some feedback online that some of my content was taking a slightly negative, if not a somewhat existential turn. And well, Art is nothing if not a product of the Artiste; I wasn't in a great place mentally and it was slipping through the cracks into my work. I feel no shame in that though, since I am not in control of my moods, and writing music and lyrics for my albums has always been a channelled outlet for whatever concoction of emotions I'm feeling in that moment. That said, I wrote this new song in quite the pit of bleakness, and despite that it emerged as a hopeful Ode to something I can't quite put my finger on. That's all to say, I'm very excited for its release as it feels like it captured a vignette of a very specific moment in my life. It's tonally just the kind of thing I want to make. Together with Hunter and my dear friend and actor Luke, we have pulled together quite the sonic and visual piece. I can't wait for you to see it. Set for release in the next few weeks!

The second piece is something new for us. A dramatic scene with minimal music. Maximal acting. I was honoured that my father Bronchman agreed (somewhat reluctantly) to act opposite me in it. The hope we have is that it'll continue to build clarity about the world of Jazz Emu, and give TV commissioners a clearer understanding of the tone and style that we are trying to communicate in the True Story of My Life which we are trying to bring to the Screens. It's something a little different and I feel like you're going to love it. Still lots of editing work for Hunter to do, and musical scoring for myself.

As usual, Hunter and I have written, directed and produced these videos entirely ourselves, on a budget that's realistically 20% of what a production company would spend on it. Only made possible by the investment of our beloved Patrons! We will continue to do this until someone with Lots Of Money And Power agrees that we deserve Clout And Status. Until then... the Emu train chugs doggedly on to the next station.
