Live Stream Round II! And Post-Annuated Musings

Into another whirl around the sun we planetarily whip, and here I am reflecting on the year gone by and the year to come.

It's been undoubtedly intense one for me, full of some of my biggest highs (Executing my first live show! Performing in the UK and the USA! Receiving some generously decadent reviews! Multiplying the Youtube following by over 10x!), and some of my crispiest lows (an intense and extended life-de-affirming seasonal depression). But here we are, pushing onwards and feeling cautiously optimistic for the year ahead.

I've been concocting a full 30 minute pilot for a Jazz Emu show - a pretty heavy re-write and adaptation of the stylings you see in the Pilot on the Youtube. The first draft is finished - songs and all - and what is better, there has been a polite rumour churning through the mill that Certain People might actually pay me some money for it in the coming months. Cross your various digits for me, my sweet Eggies, for I have expended many unpaid hours on it...

The good news is that I'm actually feeling very pleased with it - it feels like it does honour to all the ideas and bits of writing I've been compiling over the last few years, and is expressing some feelings which are close to my heart. One can't really ask for more! Watch this space as I'm really hoping that some good news MAY approach, regarding its transformation to something watchable for you all.

In terms of the live shows, Hunter worked his video magic and filmed a very Amazing and Lovely multi-cam version of the show at Soho theatre. The edit's already looking delectable and we're so excited to share chunks with you here soon. In an ideal world, I will share the whole piece with my Patrons! But it depends slightly on what the Powers That Be (producers/directors) think is Businessly Permissible. Either way, you will at least certainly be receiving a Handsome Hunk of it.

I'm always very aware the live material has all been pretty London-centric. It always makes me a little sad seeing friendly people comment with requests to come and pay their town a performance visit. For one of my favourite things ever is meeting people who enjoy my Humble Odes. Here's hoping that through the next year my work on my Clout and Stätus continues to increase, to the point at which I can afford to visit every city in every country on our bounteous Mother Earth! For now, sadly, it's not quite workable financially if I intend to maintain the High Performative Standards I have set for myself. But I know and feel that it's coming One Day my sweets.

I apologise for hibernating a little the last few months. To be vulnerable for a brief second; sustaining the ravenous beast that is the Algorithms, and feeling like I'm adequately maintaining Patreonic Support is a daunting and often financially worrying task. And so, I'm so grateful to those of you who can stick about on here. But of course, I am strongly aware that times are tough, and if you need to disappear for any reason, I understand. I hope to see you again soon, when the world offers you the bounteous riches you deserve!

But enough fiscal talk. The New Year is here, and it's time for me to swallow my malaise, emerge from my hibernation and deliver another Patreon-exclusive livestream!
