Double-New-Video-Surprise

Some of you may recall that in 2019 a distant cousin of mine Archie Henderson released a series called the Best Selling Singles of Every Decade (back to 14,000 BC). It did some pretty serious numbers on Twitter, and subsequently on Adrian Gray's Youtube (with whom he co-created the series), and it really ignited both of them to pursue their comedic careers in earnest. Adrian and Archie (he tells me) have been working in partnership on and off for the last decade. They met doing terrible sets at awful student comedy nights. Adrian was the first person Archie ever wrote with; they shared comic sensibilities and a love for craft and sometimes-overzealous attention to detail, and they quickly established a short hand for writing and performing which led them to writing four hour-long sketch shows in two years. After they left, they went their separate ways for a while, but reunited in 2018 to create a series of videos and twitter threads. They really enjoy meeting up and messing around and being friends and making stuff whenever they have time. They dream of being paid to write a radio or televisual show together some day. Technically they feel they have proved themselves capable, but it turns out to be tricky to convince the Powers That Doth Be at Established Channels that wacky internet-style tomfoolery is what the general public want (it is; commissioners are the real tomfools here).

Anyway, they reunited this week to make something fun and silly together; an extension of something that many have clamoured for since the first video came out. They asked me to say that they hope you like consuming something a little different. But enough about my distant cousin. I Jazz Emu have made a new short song video this week as well, which will be coming out next week, as I wish to stagger them while I'm away on my holiday. I'm really proud of the editing on this one, and I think it's catchy as all heck. An extension of it could easily feature on the next album. Lead single potential, even?
