I wanted to implement a gliding system in unreal engine. Here is my attempt on that. So, in thios system, player will be able to jump off from a high point and go into glide mode with a press of a button. In the glide mode, player will have a glider and he will be hanging on it. Somewhat similar to the gliding system in legend of zelda. When the player hit the ground, the glide will be collapsed and hanged on the character's back and character will go to the usual walking movement mode.
