Some end of year updates!

HELLO EVERYONE. Thank you so much for your ongoing support here, it means the world that people care at all about the weird little indie shows I love making so much. Some things:

1. I am formally cancelling video game writing 101, because I’ve had to scrap another two episodes. It has been an annoyingly difficult show to make. If it were my full-time job to make this content I wouldn’t mind, but because I have to take the time to schedule it around work hours just to have it be cancelled it’s a huge pain in the ass. Thank you so much for supporting it at all though, it was so much fun.

2. I’ve teased this on streams a little, but Rahul and I are starting a new podcast in JANUARY! It’s going to be patreon exclusive (for now, we may end up making it publicly depending on what y’all think/if we feel like it’d be insane not to?). The premise is that I’ll pick a random obscure topic and teach Rahul about it! We’ll have guests like Bruce and Lawrence and Funhaus friends, as well as people from the Flannagan universe probably too :). I also bought ACTUAL PODCAST GEAR thanks to your support here, so this won’t just be recorded at my PC!!! Unsure how often we’ll record just yet. Probably every second week with breaks if Rahul has to go away for work obviously.

3. We never got funding for the DND show on here/I had a patreon goal for it and then patreon removed goals, but I decided I don’t care, we’re gonna make it in the new year anyway lol. That’ll be monthly once it gets up and running.

4. I’ll probably make a separate poll for this, but I’m not sure if I should bring RLOC back or not. It’s a fun show and I love that it’s more female-oriented but it also gets the least engagement of any of my content like this. I do have a really cool cast picked out for the next season but I’m just not sure if it’s worth adding onto my plate considering I’m already adding another two shows. I think I prefer the idea of just inviting over more female friends and doing AITA or relationship advice streams every now and then rather than a dedicated podcast, but let me know your thoughts.

5. VA101 can’t be monthly but I’m not cancelling it - will continue the show on a ‘hey this actor is available’ type schedule. Also hoping to do mostly in-person episodes going forward for that, too :).

Also: HAPPY HOLIDAYS ❤️.

For RLOC, keep it as it is but just have Jacob join and I think viewership would skyrocket, hes like the most popular person from your podcasts and from funhaus. just an idea.

Hey! I generally agree with most of the sentiment here. Do the shows you enjoy doing when the timing works out/stars align, and don't worry about pumping out content on a strict schedule to satisfy donations. I genuinely enjoy everything you've done so far and would rather have the shows you do be once in a while and really good, than have consistent volume and have them (and you) suffer trying to keep pace. Also, I personally enjoyed RLOC quite a bit. I never knew what a milkman was til I tuned in and listened to it explained. XD Happy new year from NY!
