Tsukigoro - Skin -

 Good Morning!

We start a new project! This time, Tsukigoro, one of the miniatures from Hirelings of Asura. I know many are waiting for the NMM video but I promise will be soon.

As you said, I try improve in each video and PDF and for that, I changed the angle of the camera in this video (it’s more like a direct vision). If you don’t like it, or if you want to give me another idea to improve, tell me in the comments.

In the English video the subtitles are not integrated into the video; is automatically created on YouTube (I didn’t know), and for that reason, I decide to activate the “correct function” in Youtube, so that it can be modified if any word is not well written.

The PDF of this video (remember that we are going to start doing it more like a magazine) will be posted between Wednesday and Thursday.

I am already working on the following videos; It's a bit difficult to coordinate everything from here without having all the equipment, but I think the results are very good. ;)

Link;

See you soon!

The colors always appear in the videos. Anyway, I think there are also PDFs. You can search directly with the collection to make it easier to find.

Hello! Could you please tell if I can find somewhere list of paints that were used in this tutorial?

Andrii Maliuha

In some videos I have already explained how you can make those glazes without using the airbrush. It's about catching a little more water and dragging in the area of the cuts that create the different layers.

Don't worry, we'll have many more examples.

If you first use the brush and create that dirt, when you use the airbrush what you do is veil it. That is to say, to take out two different tones of dirt (the first one that we have created with the brush and the second one, that is color dyed of the airbrush + the previous base). The result is more realistic than if we only use one color with the brush.

Hello Serigo! Lovely stuff in here. I'm just wondering regarding your painting technique. If you didn't use an airbrush would you blend all the layering/capibases with glazes of the different layer colors you used? I don't own an airbrush at the moment but I really like this technique. It gives a way more expressive and painterly look which I'm after.

Patrick Lorente

If it is a unique theme surely the videos will be shorter than when I try something more general. ;)

Sergio Calvo Miniatures

Personally, I like longer videos. I'd like to see a video on tattooed skin later on please.

Davogrod Gutsucker

This video was great, a lot of detailed information. I understand that your layers need to be smooth and not streaky because of the airbrush step, but how does that change when creating texture?

Carl Tees

I really like this short video. It's fun to watch because it's more compact. On the longer videos I caught myself playing Diablo while watching it and missing important stuff. Keep the videos short. Try to add show the important things. It's no use watching your 5min painting one layer. :D

Ralf Helbig

It's true. I'll keep it in mind for the next video ;)

Thank you very much!!

One comment I do have about what you say in the beginning about skipping bits you've already show in other videos. That sort of assumes that everyone has watched all of your other videos and in order. If you don't want to keep showing the same stuff over and over, the best way i've seen other people do it is give a brief "I did this, this, this and this, for more in depth guide see my X video"

Kipp

The miniature is amazing along with all the others that were part of the kickstarter. I definitely made sure I got in on. :)
