Shark Skin - First Part - White -

It's here! The shark you are waiting for!

This new project will be divided into three parts; This, the first part, we will see the white skin. In the second, we will treat the darker areas and in the third we will see in depth the airbrush. In addition, we will have a surprise video ;)

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do and that you are encouraged to paint it.

Oh, and send me the photos of the results!!!!

Of the two colors shown in the image, it is probably the one that most resembles blue. I don't remember if it was in the PDF but take a look at it because from memory I can't tell you exactly.

Hi Sergio, which color (not type) is used for front part of share and back part as 'capa base' ? :-)

francesco di vito

Are you mostly using Vallejo Model Color?

Stephen

Yes! A list of paints used. :)

Stephen

What are you talking about? A list of the paints I use or what?

Also do you have a paint list? :)

Stephen

What mini company makes this figure?

Stephen

thanks!

Is not necessary to have the exact color, you can create your own mixes with similar colors. ;)

Hello, i am sorry to bothering you but i have a question. Could you explain me the use of the forest skin. Because i want to try similar things an on other miniature but i dont own this paint ( i have essentially scale 75 paints and i dont find equivalent in this range) and i am asking how i could change it.? Thanks

cadoret jerome

I'm glad you like it. Soon, I will explain more things so you can understand it better. I think it's a good painting system, but being new, I preferred to explain it little by little.

Really like the way you paint. It's kinda what I learned like more than 20 years ago. Though, later everyone told me it's wrong to only paint up in brightness. And for me it always was easier to paint down in brightness. Definetly going to try this again. Most of the time I see what the dilution of your paints is. I also like to know what's it about those capibases. :D

@Davogrod Gutsucker , haha always I'm smiling , when I'll feel better speaking in English you'll see me smiling more haha. And yes is funny and simple paint on this way :D

Sergio Calvo Miniatures

@Mordym , thank you very much! I'm trying to do it as better as I can currently , soon I'll try to improve my english to give you a better experience, yes it's much work but I want share my point of view because I know is completly diferent but if you belive in it you'll improve very fast :) When you have seen the airbrush video you'll understand how to smooth it , currently you may think how to paint the volumens of this miniature enjoying with your brush ! :)

Sergio Calvo Miniatures

Thank you for smiling and being so enthusiastic in your videos. It makes it look both funny and simple to paint a miniature.

Davogrod Gutsucker

I love that you make your videos in two languages. That’s pretty awesome of you to take the extra time to do. I do have a question about the idea of capibases, what exactly are they? It looks almost like you are doing pretty dramatic layering and using some feathering to smooth the paint out. I’m sure I’m missing something though?
