It has come to my attention that comics from this page are being distributed to illegal pirating websites, one in particular that I will not mention for legal reasons. This is more than theft, it is betrayal. How you might ask? The ONLY way for my comics to get posted on this site is to use what they call the Patreon Download tool. The tool only works if you are a patron. In other words, one … I sure hope it’s only one…of my loyal patrons apparently is not so loyal.
Whoever you are, I would like to appeal to you to please stop illegally posting my comics. Those of you who have been here for a while know that I work very hard to give you your money’s worth. I probably turn out about 100 pages/week. I have done this on holidays, and until a few months ago had posted 7 days/week since the site was started. I had to stop posting on weekends because of the considerable tension it was causing in my marriage. I love making comics, and I love that they are supported by you here and purchased over at Changing Comics. I use the earnings to continually improve my computers… I now have two rigs to render with… so I can make comics, FOR YOU, more efficiently.
I have sent a note to Patreon, and to the illegal hosting site. I do not expect them to do a damn thing about it, and so I am appealing to the good nature… of course thieves do not have good natures, but I didn’t know what else to call it… of whoever has betrayed the trust I had in them, and posted my comics on a site where they don’t know anyone in RL, but felt the need to nevertheless treat them to stolen comics. What, does that make you feel like a big important guy? Please stop what you are doing. You are hurting me. Please stop. Please.

Doesn't it? Pateon answered me and told me that they are aware of the problem but can't do anything about it. Turns out the site is in Japan. I doubt they care about our laws.

What I am doing, since I am getting no help at all from Patreon, is monitoring the site daily. I get notified of every new patron. So, when I get a new patron I check the site. If now there are more images, I'll know who's doing it.

2020-06-13 11:54:58 +0000 UTCI'm not sure how it works, but I do know this: the site has a Patreon Download Tool. It has to be used by a patron. Whatever that patron has access to, the tool does. I don't know who is doing it, but whoever it is, is in the $10 Tier. Patreon answered me and said they have no legal recourse against the site because it is in a foreign country. So my only hope is that whoever is ripping me off will suddenly decide to be a good guy and stop doing it.
