Sakura and Kaela celebrating their world's equivalent to Valentine's Day: Loviday Week!
Some lore: Loviday simultaneously takes the place of both Pride and Valentine's Day. The holiday is celebrated over the course of one week in February, and the point is to celebrate love in all of its forms! They often celebrate the holiday with brightly colored decorations (often in the form of rainbows), parades, and block parties. Flowers in particular have a huge emphasis on this holiday and are usually more exchanged than sweets; it's common for people to arrange elaborate bouquets and flower "jewelry" (like flower crowns, rings, bracelets, so on) for their loved ones as gifts.
As for the characters, a quick and unrelated funfact! Kaela almost always is chewing on something. It's usually in the form of a single wheatstalk but she also keeps toothpicks or, if she's desperate, a piece of gum. It's a habit formed from her smoking years she never quite got rid of, but it keeps the occasional itch for a cig at bay so she sees no reason to kick it.
