The Resort- a Cloudrunner's-Eye view

This is the overhead view of the island, in it's entirety- there's plenty of beach, and a couple features I forgot to mention earlier:

The Volcano to the north of the resort/temple is the source of 100% of the temple's power: the entire island is running on geothermal power. The volcano itself won't be a danger for a long time- long enough that Franklin's great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandkids won't have to worry about it, because it'll still be way too far off. In the meantime, in provides a (reasonably) safe tourist photo-op.

To the south, there's a landing pad: something I didn't mention in the last post was how guests arrive and leave the island- they do so by scheduling times with the resort, and the resort arranges with trustworthy/well-paid/reputable mercenary outfits to taxi their rich clientele from point A to point B.

And yes, Starfox is one of these mercenary outfits, and how they've been able to afford ship maintenance and repairs between paid military missions.

In providing such a service to the Resort, the companies are also allowed to be "temporary guests" of the resort- but often no more than a day, on top of their usual rates. And even then, they aren't put with the rest of the guests: they get roomed with the staff in the secluded part of the island. Not a lot of them take the Resort up on the offer, but some do...
