What's in a Nameplate?

A little over two years ago when we were still scaling up many of the basic UI parts, one component that was not cooperating was the overhead nameplate. There were two areas causing trouble: the ornate brackets around heroic and epic targets, and a lack of space between certain NPC names and their subtitles. Large and X-Large nameplates do exist, but this article explains why they were not quite up to DarqUI standards and had to be downloaded as "experimental."

Well, we've taken another look at both of these areas and today I'm pretty stoked to say that they are now looking great.

Tier brackets (using /con_version 1):

Name and subname spacing:

The file that controls nameplates also scales up things like quest conversation buttons and the white overhead NPC text bubble, pop-up sign boards, and the custom GPS waypoint arrow accessible from the premium Compass.

You no longer have to download an "experimental" file to get the new L or XL nameplates. Now it's just Conversation and Chat Bubble in your choice of sizes.
