For raiding, specifically raid leaders, EverQuest II offers some useful basic tools. About three years ago the Group/Raid Countdown window was introduced, providing raid leaders with a very visual way to marshal their forces on the pull with a common timer. The DarqUI version makes the experience audible and even more visual.
Another helpful gadget familiar to raiders is the Ready Check command, issued by raid leaders to make sure none of their raiders are overly distracted by Netflix before the pull.
One of our Darq Side members who knows his way around the raiding scene and uses both of the above tools, Clintsat recently requested an alternative way to sound the battle horn that combines the two features together. A new update to the premium Countdown window adds a "raid flag" icon to the Countdown UI, but only for the current raid leader. If the leader relinquishes his or her role to another raider, the Ready Check icon moves to that player's window.
This component also now has 2K- and 4K-friendly sizes, and appears in 2K/4K Group 20 which is currently in the works. Thanks to Clintsat for this refinement to the raiding UI, and for testing and feedback on the feature.
