Furvester 2019 Lanyard & Button Designs [WIP & FINAL]

Back at it again with artwork for Furvester! For those unaware, I'm a staff artist for Furvester, which takes place in Stuttgart, Germany ! Why? Because it falls on my birthday! (December 31st) which is super super cool and I just find the folks over there wonderful people to work with that definitely deserve all the help they can get ^_^

Last year I did all the badges, lanyards and volunteer/staff button designs but unfortunately I had to cut my work load down quite a bit this year due to having other responsibilities fall in my hands (GoH work and other projects, unfortunately health issues, etc)! So this year it was just the lanyard and button designs. The theme for this year is "Heroes and Mythical Creatures" so I had to design both relating to that theme!

For the lanyard specifically, I just had two characters running from SOMETHING, but I received feedback after sending the WIP that it'd be nice to actually SEE the something, haha, so I quickly decided on some creepy shadowy hands trying to grasp at the characters. I really like how it turned out, and from what I can see from some of the photos of the lanyards people are wearing online, it looks like they printed really nicely too!

As for the button, every year they like to present volunteers with a little button in thanks for their hard work! So I wanted to go with a nice noble looking wolf warrior for this one! The BG being colours of a sunset to kind symbolize the end of the convention and heros journey ^_^
