Song of Stones - Pages 2 and 3 roughs
Added 2023-05-08 23:58:40 +0000 UTCHey all, I've been trying to catch up again. I managed to get the second and third pages of the comic into 'stage 2' pencils. This is the first pass cleaning up the scribbled bluelines and cleaning up/tweaking everything until I can go over it again in stage three.
I've had a problem crop up over the last ten days or so regarding the pen to my tablet. It's starting to fail, and it's proven incredibly difficult to get a replacement for it. I've been working on figuring it out though (I'd rather not let a nearly 3K piece of kit go to the dumpster because of Canada's ability to stock anything outside of maple syrup and sad-fishing shows).
I'm not sure how this will affect output. The pen still works, but it's got problems with pressure now. It happens with hardware, and is one of the down-sides of doing things digitally.
Things should be okay to keep going, as long as it doesn't degrade too much more. I'll keep wracking the hazelnut in my skull to come up with a solution though.

I hope to be more regular with this. It takes a bit to get back into the groove of storytelling and comic work. It's this weird marriage of design and art and I'm rusty at both. But it's fun to _finally_ be getting this story down in some form after a decade of waffling :D

I'm trying a tablet for the first time, but my cats keep stealing the pen and hiding it under things, no matter where I hide it (they are adept at opening cabinets and drawers.) I think a few more falls to the floor and I'll need to get a new one myself
