I'm a bit behind in getting arty-bits done and posted. I had to divert a couple of days due to Smokey, my cat, getting diagnosed with kidney disease. Its common in older mews like him. He's going on 15 years old now, but it required a lot of running around to get him new food, get a new medication routine and all that fun stuff.
He's doing okay though, but he's definitely slowing down. So he'll get all the pets, and all the treats (non phosphorous and as little potassium) he can gobble. He's my little shadow, and I know what's coming, so I'll spend all the time I can with him.
On a bit lighter of a note, I did get a rough sketch of Heilka done, the Tuktu priestess of the Shorebreaker. I'm still kind of learning how to draw a person based on a caribou. The antlers are surprisingly fiddly to get right on them.
I did forget to draw the bone-chips and embers floating from her right hand though. I'll just try to remember to ink them in.
I also managed to get a bit of adjustment and ink-work done for the cover of Songs of the Tenebrous done, which is slowly starting to take some kind of shape (if its a nice shape or not is yet to be seen).
More to come.
