The Sketchening - Part 1

I was encouraged to start sharing sketches on here despite my worries that my way of sketching things out is absurdly messy, in some cases I'll actually just make silhouettes of what I have in mind and 'carve away at it' until it looks roughly right.

In this case I took the more readable sketches I had done over the last little while and will be doing a semi-flood of them. Often I do these sorts of rough thumbnail-esque illustrations to try and jump-start my brain, out of the dozens a few stand out and I end up turning those into paintings (the Pumpkin Trouble painting this month was done this way). Other times these are sketches of interesting things I glimpse in photos and am too lazy to just save and download them (or the image itself isn't interesting, but that particular element/character is).

Either way, I have a couple pages to share this time around. I'll have more to post in the coming week.

Just don't order the 'zombie' from him. It tends to have an eye or hair left in it.

I have to admit, its actually nice to be able to just share the more sketchy stuff I've done over the last year. Some have to be digitally redrawn, but given that folks are liking the frequent sketch theme, I'm happy to post more :)

There are a few more dragony-people types for sure, and a few bird types as well! I'm mostly going through old sketchbooks and picking out the ideas I liked and doing a quick digital version (I don't have a scanner these days).

Thank you for sharing your sketches! They look really fun and cute. Also, that's quite a bartender you've got there.

It's a pleasure to see these! Not messy in the least and very interesting to get a look at.

Oh wow, these are gorgeous. I, for one, would like to see. More of the dragon man.

Sylvian

Definitely! Sketches are fun, man...these feel so free, so easy, so spontaneous. It feels like watching you play. I love it!

Flood away, I think that's part of Patreon's purpose. That Otter -- unspeakably cute! The fellow in the bottom right is 317th in line to see the Emergency Doctor....
