"Um, Bera where are we!?"
"Home."
"You ass! I don't live here!"
"Not with that attitude.."
"How do I get home from here?"
"I dunno. Not sure where you live."
"So I'm stuck here?"
"You shouldn't have fallen asleep in my saddlebag."
"Why didn't you wake me!?"
"You looked all cute, curled into a lil' bitty puffball.."
"Yer really finding this funny aren't you?"
"Of course!"
The sketch-mania continues. While I'm working (slowly) on the painting, I keep getting side-tracked with ideas for images. Beracláwan and Jahri are new characters I was invited to create as part of a friend's D&D campaign. Bera is a Reix, hence he doesn't wear much (Reix's ability to shift forms ins't the same as druids. If you are wearing clothing it would get obliterated or belts/harnesses would mutilate you) But he makes up for it being a plains barbarian, able to take a fair beating, but he's not terribly charismatic.
Jahri is a bard. Able to pluck the magic from the sound of music or recited arcana and use it to help or hinder. She's a race I've never introduced before since.. Well, they're fairly new! Its a vulpine race I've wanted to nudge into the world for ages, but largely got side-tracked on and couldn't quite find a place for until now.
I'd like to draw more of these two. They have a pretty good dynamic, they argue but sort of have a 'yeah, but I'd still defend you with my life' vibe that I'm enjoying, and I'd like to draw more tiny vulpine folk (I don't have a racial name for them yet). They're small (around 3 ft. tall) but tenacious, with a very interesting culture based on story and song that 'vaults' their lore.
Hoping to have both painting stuff to show soon, as well as a sketch of Cinders and Brambles. I'm still playing catch up from being ill for just over 2 weeks of the start of this month, and I need to get some autumn/spook stuff done!
