Time of the Leefs

Its a pretty lovely fall here this year.  Leaves are slowly turning to yellow all around, and the weather has _finally_ stopped being absurdly warm.  I'm hoping to get more 'autumn' art put out soon.

I did want to give a heads up to all my patrons that the patron sketch for this month sadly has to be pushed back to next month.  My father has a medical procedure coming up, and I've been a caregiver for him for years now.  While its not a major procedure, at his age any kind of medical thing is a bit more serious than it would be normally.

I'll be doing a lot of running around and helping to take care of him and his place while he recovers, depending on what needs to be done.  It means I just can't get a full sketch done on top of the D20 to Yuma cover (which I'll ask about showing here!) as well as the painting and sketches I had planned.

This doesn't mean anyone misses their turn, however.  Patrons will still get a sketch, its just that its been shifted back to October while I play catch up through all of this.

I'll hopefully be able to show the cover here in the next few days.  I think it's fairly nifty and it includes a critter I know I've never drawn before (so many needles).  Western themed D&D style thing with a pig-snouted orc even (old school!).

Beyond that I'll be immediately jumping into getting Lyssiah and Cinders painted.  I've wanted to get that image done up for a while now, and keep running colour themes in my head.  I'm thinking a nice later evening image with the sun going down.

Thanks all, and to my friends in Florida and Texas, stay safe.  Will keep you all in my thoughts.

Much appreciated! Hoping it'll be a short procedure/recovery for him. In the meantime I'm starting to get some sketching done as well.

Much appreciated! We should know in a few days what procedure he's going to have to have done. Good thoughts are appreciated! Managed to get the cover posted today. Next up will be colouring the last sketch I did of Lyss and Cinders. Busy times!

No complaints from me. Family first, we'll be here.

Thank you for the update. I'm sorry to hear about your father. I hope he pulls through and recovers as best he can. That comic sounds awesome. I hope you get permission to post it. I know it's around, but I've never heard of a D&D style western. Looking forward to the next coloring project. Thank you again for keeping us in the loop. I know I appreciate it.
