Sunlight finally hit our part of the world, cutting through two and a half extra weeks of tenebrous greys and snowy drizzle. I've finally been able to burn off some of the winter pallor from my Canadian canvas and wanted to make this picture the painting for the month.
Kai (the Laontran 'tattooist') is good at arguing why a reixos would dance divinely at the festival of fire and sun. Cerenon is doubtful. Worried his sheer size among a largely small people would be akin to a mountain dancing amidst trees.
More and more I'm drawn to tattoo's of the Maori and the isles. Its a kaleidoscopic array of patterns and cultures swirling towards an iconic center. While the dyes on Kai and Cer will fade, sometimes the people of the isles have a 'renewing' night where dyes are re-traced and applied, often doubling to solidify family and friendships alike.
Qiuloa are islands created as a place I just want to be as often as possible. Lazy enough to let one live if they're willing to fish, and sane enough where stress is low.
they have _amazing_ barbecues.
