Hard to believe Christmas is nearly here. The month has flown by, and was a blur of overwork at the job and trying to set up the lighting without blowing the house up (given my luck through the year, it was a possibility!).

I'm hoping to have the sketch for the painting up soon, and the painting done soon after that. I fumbled around with a theme I wanted to go with, finally just going with something a bit wintery. I probably won't have the final high-res done in time for Christmas (still have family/friends gift stuff to do, and so much turkey to absorb until I'm in a food coma). I'm aiming to have it done before year's end.

For a lot of folks, it hasn't been a great year (for others, it's been abysmal). I hope, at least, all of you have peace for the last bit of the year, and if you celebrate, that it goes swimmingly. My goal is to hide away for a couple days, sip drinks with rum in them, eat leftovers and dot away at art-bits.

Thank you all. This year has been a whirlwind. It's gone a long way to make me want to get better at this art thing, and given me the time to do it (and the funds to get lessons as well!). I'd buy you all a nog if I could (mine tends to taste like wallpaper paste though).
