Patreon Sketch, update stuff.

Hey all!

The notificiation for the next Patreon sketch has been sent out.

Just a note for the new folks at the $10 tier (and up):  Every month I pick a name from the list and will do a digital sketch for that person.  Its not a raffle system (though I do pick randomly).  If you are on that tier, even just once, you will get a sketch down the line (I can only do one per month since I work another job and do a bit of paid illustration as well).  When the full list have had a sketch done, I simply start again, randomly picking until I go through again, etc.

Update Stuff

Tides Comic - I am really, really behind on getting pages done for the comic.  I had planned to have it up and going again at least by September, but every month brought a new 'challenge' that saw me have to push the work back a little more.  With the loss of the original file for the painting this month, that meant everything had to be shoved to the back of the month again, and sadly it means I'll have to try and get another page done for next month instead.

Paintings - I'm finally at a comfortable place doing paintings again.  I've found a technique that shaves about four or five hours off the work that I have to do.  The 'Leef' picture was my last fall pic for a while (I'm thinking people might be a bit sick of autumn all the time) and I might be doing a few 'winter-esque' pictures coming up.  I have a few ideas for the next series, much of it will take place in the fantasy vein as usual.

Sketchwork & Travellogue - I still haven't picked up a scanner so I can scan in some of the random doodles I do in real media.  it was more a question of not having much time this month than anything.  Once the holidays stop being berserk, and life slows down a little I'll be nabbing a scanner so I can add all of the concept stuff that I do to Patreon as well.  Its not crazy-good or anything, but some of it is just fun little doodles I've done over coffee.

The Travellogue that I wanted to have started, as with the comic, got pushed back.  I had a bit of crisis of faith when it came to Felwroth and wanting to write on the world anymore.  Luckily that is no longer the case.

I tend to write the world a bit like its a 'game' world, but in the sense that a really obsessive designer might write about it.  Pointless little details scattered everywhere that nobody will ever actually see.  I lost a lot of steam at one point (had a RL campaign stop cold) and largely lost interest for about a month or so.

Luckily I had been invited to, and played in, an amazing campaign since then, and been asked to run a new game myself after a story jam sprouted wings, and I've been adding more to the weird lore of Felwroth since then.  I'll be sharing some of that stuff as I can, largely in the form of maps and little 'travel' pieces here.  I won't flood the place with the insane amount of niddly stuff, but the cooler bits will be shared :)

I want to thank you all for sticking around, and cheering on the odd shapes and colours I throw out there.  I'll continue to give back as much as I can, and adding more high res art for you all to have.

There will probably be more fuzzy things in hats.

Because this world seems to run on fuzzy things in hats.
