Spaaaace! - September 28th

I was tapped to do some interior illustrations for a Starships & Spacemen RPG supplement called 'The Lucanii Drift'.  The theme was to give a very big nod to the original Star Trek even if the book itself doesn't use any Star Trek lore or specific symbology.

I was also asked to add a 'ghastly desiccated alien' in a tomb, so I went full Aliens and Dead Space on it.

In other news, with this project winding down and the sketch for this month's random Patron about to be under way, I finally have free time in October to get back to personal projects again.  Seasonal employment contracts are also winding down so I can finally coffee myself in the morning and do morning sketches again.

So, so upcoming things I'm hoping to get done:

Tides Comic - I'm starting to forget where I want this story to go.  I have it written until roughly page 20, and I need to get back at it if I have any hope of keeping up with the storyline.  I plan on getting the next pages done for it.

Patron Sketch - As always, the 15th is usually when I pick the next person on the list.

Colouring - I miss doing colour work and have a load of pictures to actually finish.  'Hellow Leef', 'Wolves of Autumn' and the Tides comic page are all on the slate.

Morning sketches - I draw a lot of 'cartoony Cinders' images, under the common banner 'This Poni' series.  The warm-up routine, along with working constantly on art has really helped improve my gesture drawing skills.  This also results in a huge backlog of these Charles Schulz style pictures of Cinders or her family doing various derpy things.  I'll have enough saved when the month turns over that I'll be able to finally stop procrastinating and pick up a scanner so I can share them all.  Some will be finished and given a quick colour treatment as well.

Travelogue - With August having had me laid up for around a month with a herniated disc in my lower back, and all the construction going on I had to put doing a type of 'Felwroth travelogue' on hold, especially with contract work being on my plate.  I'm hoping to add tidbits and maps into the mix, as well as 'portraits' of some of the people along the way.

No guarantees that all of it will be packed into the month, but I can at least start taking a good chunk out of it again!

Take care, and thank you all again.  You've been amazing!
