Episode 156 - Sailing in Albania, fighting fishing nets and running from a storm, No shelter!
Added 2023-08-08 08:19:04 +0000 UTCSo sorry for the late one this week we've had a crazy few days!! But here we go........ Where to start for this weeks episode?!? After last weeks episode and all the drama leaving Montenegro and sailing to Albania in the dark, we were hoping for a more chilled out week.... We are yet again foiled from our plans of a so called easy life! No rest for the wicked, as we find ourselves facing some nasty weather on its way! We sail on looking for a safe haven, but all we find is unmarked fishing nets, crab pots and markers which are simply a stick on a piece of string or a pop bottle holding fishing nets up under the water!!! After anchoring in under two meters, and sailing in waters which are less than half the charted water depth, we continue to sail on to one anchorage after the other, seeking out an elusive safe anchorage! All while Nicky is fighting a very nasty stomach bug!

They are doing an amazing job! there is so much garbage out there in our oceans its terrible! its great we are tacking it, but we really need to tack the problem on land to stop it before it reaches the sea, they have started filtering the big rivers in some places to stop rubbish going out to sea too, so thats pretty great π€

2023-08-25 10:05:59 +0000 UTCHave you seen the newest ocean cleanup net that collects all the trash? It is mighty impressive as it hauls several tons of plastic, etc. out of the ocean. Then other videos show people just casually throwing trash in the ocean, lakes, and streams. π

Can u email me please the address where you want it sent? I am including a few more items that I found for Bear. I hope he will like them. One item is an tank top that may be a little large for him, but he will grow into it. When I get your email I will send you a picture of the projects. Sail safe my friends.

Video was a day on Pickle with all the ups and downs from sickness and young puppy learning etc. Terrible all the trash that is collecting on the shorelines from passing trashy boats. Enjoy a regular day on Pickle video.
