0.5.1 - status update

Alright, so this is taking waaaay longer than I anticipated. I've said it before but, note to self: don't make wild promises about when something will be done and just get the f- on with it! But trust me, I've been working super hard. I mentioned Jira already - the development tracking software I'm using - and on top of that, I have a GitHub repo too, where I'm knuckling down and making 'commits' (which is just a way of saying 'updates') to the game and keeping everything logged and tracked.

Speaking of which, here's my commit log since I first started the repo (on May 26th), to give you a little window into just how much work's been going on behind the scenes:

As you can see, I've done a ton but there's still some extra polish and finessing and whatever that I want to do before I'm even calling this version the 'patreon only' update. That said, I'm still hoping to get not only this but also (maybe??) the next version out to you guys too before the month is through. I'm determined not to fall behind and while 0.5.2 is gonna be a lot more work - mainly I'll have to get all the shops back up and running and stocked with goodies - I already have the Heather quests hooked up, it's just a case of writing Jennifer's route.

And as I've echoed, all this polish I'm doing now is gonna carry on forward. The more I incrementally tweak and polish everything now as I go (seeing as there's no damn way I'm restarting/refactoring the code or underlying systems again), the better the game will be down the line.

Okay, I'd better get back to it!
