LIZARD ISLAND 🦎

We really wanted to soak up every single second like it was the last. (Damn, I should have said that in the actually video!!!) But.. it's true. John and I were feeling so overwhelmed we had made it this far. This was truly our bucket list sail. And because we had made it... we felt like we had completed a successful mission to the moon. Okay. I have no idea why all of a sudden this is all coming out... I'm going to have to save some of this for the next episode I think!!!! hahaha
We thought we were going to get about a week on Lizard Island, but the wind calmed!!!! And believe it or not, on our sail back South we had a DREAM RUN!!! Something that is so incredibly rare, we just had to take the window of opportunity, because we didn't know how long it would be before they would come around again... it could take two weeks... perhaps a month.. that's what its like up there, so unpredictable...
But of course, what that meant was, our Lizard Island experience was cut short after 4 or 5 glorious days. When we would have liked to have stayed a bit longer. We just didn't want to risk putting Tucana through a beating, and falling ill in rough seas on the way home. Did you see those other boats beating into the mess (yuck!).
Anywho, I hope you enjoy this early episode as we take you on our special and memorable sail that will forever be in our hearts. Mission accomplished!!!
