Charge of the Paladin Knights! (July Release Video)
Added 2021-06-26 14:25:51 +0000 UTC
Hello Dear Patrons
Here it is, the July video of the Paladin Knights!
My god, Claudia, our graphic artist, really went berserk on this one and the trailer is even more Hollywood than usual!!
Honestly, I can’t wait to see what the full movie would look like !!!!
And boy, the sculpts are…
A lot of you have been asking us to do some more Raging Heroes’ style miniatures in line with our existing ranges (available in our webshop), so here it is!
This July release is a full host of charging heavy knights together with their settlements!
Cool stuff for everyone!
As always, we’ve also tried to make sure every Patron would find something to their taste in this release.
That’s why you’ll find great characters for your RPG adventures, some very cool troops for your Wargaming needs, amazing modular scenery (frankly, just that is insane! Most companies would run a full Kickstarter with just that. But on this patreon, you can get the best deal ever just by switching to the Overlord tier).
And there is even something really special if you play that SciFi Grimdark wargame…
Talking about SciFi…
I still owe you that update where I talk about SciFi. I wanted to rework it a bit based on your answers to the poll we did this month and the ideas all your comments brought to my mind. But we’ve been SO busy sculpting as always…
So I’ll make sure you get it just after the Paladins’ launch, once the dust has settled a bit.
More reasonable centerpiece
In the past few months, our centerpieces have grown bigger and bigger. It was looking super amazingly crazy dope in my opinion, but at the same time, I have to admit that they were turning into more and more nearly unprintable projects. Or at least, you would have to spend many days devoting your printer only to this.
So, based on your comments and messages, we’ve decided to get back to a more reasonable size so you could more easily print them.
Don’t get me wrong, it is still quite big. But we are going to work on more manageable stuff from now on, getting closer to the size of the centerpiece we’ve had on releases like the Vampires for exemple (ok, this one is still much bigger... But we’re working on this ;) )
Plus if you really want to go crazy, you can always extend the centerpiece with the many modular parts that are available to you.
So you have plenty of options!
Let's hear from you!
I really hope you like this new set, I do think it’s a very cool one :)
Let us know which are your favorite sculpts, and as always, what you will be doing with them, so that we can be part of your world, too!
We wish you some happy printing and gaming :)
Have a great day!
- Benoit and the whole Heroes Infinite Team

Where do I find the base for the Reliquary model? I don't see one in the files

The king is in the Drakarion folder - It is just pictures of what it should look like in the King Theoden on Drakarion folder.

Really loving this set. I love how Saint Antelys is an homage to the 40k Judicar. This release is just in time for the release of Age of Sigmar 3.0!
Is is possible to get the helmets from the troops to be modular?

Ese castillo es magnifico, y los caballeros que lo habitan están divinos literalmente se ven celestiales y gracias por el dragón, sigan con la mitología y temática de civilizaciones antiguas, si pudiera pedir algo para otro mes sugeriría samurais

That's nice, but it's no system. Having to go back to creators every time you need a file you can't find or which has become unuseable is a hassle. Almost every other 3D printing Patreon offers some form of easily accessible, centralized backup. And RH has been promising for some time to set something up too, so it would be good to have a meaningful update :-)

I wish I could buy the previous months for the patreon price of $16 each now that I’m subscribed to the overlord tier. I think that would be cool to offer to subscribers only as part of being subscribed.

I wholeheartedly agree. I support multiple artists, but when it gets hard to track/dl the releases, those artists tend to get dropped, regardless of how good they are. MMF is my go-to solution for this. Artists that don't have some way to re-download prior releases usually don't stay in my subscription list. My Heroes Infinite directory has 40+ GB in it already, few of those files are being printed at any one time. Multiply that by 5-10 patrons (and past patrons) and the disk space gets eaten fast. Having them on MMF so I can pull what I need/want and print then delete the local copies is a great solution.

A lot of us would like to know this as well. Something more than just, "we are working on something behind the scenes". Having a better way to get your content would be the best boon you can offer us subscribers.
HAChaos
2021-07-01 13:36:54 +0000 UTC
I hate to bring this up... but have you found a solution for keeping past releases available to patrons who initially received them via the subscription? For example through MMF like many other Patreons do, or via your own website like Loot Studios does?

I see the issue from some with the proportions, still a very nice release and hoping for more church/Inquisition knights.
I saw on your instagram, that you released also some female knights. Are they only available at your website? They're looking good but the pricing seems a bit high but maybe Im missing something.
Keep up your great work and looking forward to the next releases

Have to agree, the proportions on the males are a liittle much. I'm not a fan of the theme this month either. But the griffin-like mount and one of the sisters look reasonably fun to print and paint. That's something

Meh, not exactly. Usable for paladin/cavelier type characters. The Dragon and the castle are very cool and of course D&D usable. All the mini's are cool, but, yeah, this isn't quite a D&D adventuring party set.
Scott Jeffs

Interesting, I thought they were molds first and later rendered. No?

2021-06-29 20:11:19 +0000 UTC
Curious, many people get these minis for GW. I have only a single GW mini in my collection (promo, got it for free), and it has a small (well, normal) head on a big heavily armored body. Seems to be a thing there too. Here's another GW example: https://i.guim.co.uk/img/media/a2b74b2e8cf33268bf2fe664dffe3060612f4fa4/0_15_920_920/master/920.jpg?width=380&quality=85&auto=format&fit=max&s=6c64d492d32664a86bf83f8a1ae7c558

Got the answer, print and then cut the heads off and substitute lion heads from a couple of stls I have and then the silly torso proportions won't matter because lions might be that massive through the chest. Might even use the rescaled wings, always wanted flying regal lion knights
Phil Gee
2021-06-29 15:54:23 +0000 UTC
Dear Lord No! Just no, no no! Where did the chest proportions come from? 80s He-Man cartoons? Why the tiny heads on bloated bodies? After so many superb offerings we're back to 3D printable cartoon characters, again just like the Norse gods I want to cancel for a month and send you the message I need you to hear, but again the terrain pack saves it and is worth the price in itself. Likewise the mounts if I put different riders on them but the main theme, just why? Who on earth is making the style choices now?

Really Amazing!!! Thanks for making AoS proxies and not a casual boring useless overmade D&D stuffs. In a previous thread I asked if these knights could be proxies for Stormcast for 3ed and they really are. Thank you very much. I hope you'll continue with this set up (organized armies and not random/splitted ones).
After this release I'm really curious about the Mage Guild of next month. If you are still interested in AoS stuff, Lumineth Realm-Lords have lots of mages hero and mages unit and no other artists made proxies for them (Tzeentch is over made) and their faction scenery is a flying temple (suitable for a guild of mages?)

These are so awesome, for the first time in a while I am planning to print and paint ... probably all of these. Multiple times.
Question: Will there be weapon options? Like can the Tranchard bodies be able to wield on of those big 2 handed hammers from the Protectors? Or will there be different weapon options for each of the troops?

I know I have covered this but want to reiterate applause to RH for this release. Do not pay attention to the naysayers who label these designs as 'ripoffs' because the fact is that proxies are a huge hit, hence why the formula is used by others to great success. Well done RH!

Oh, OK. I hate to say it, but I'm going to be the lone dissenting voice here ... I'm crushingly disappointed in this release. I was really looking forward to Heroes Infinite producing Knights that match their excellent Sisters fantasy range ... but these are Age of Sigmar knockoffs in ridiculous fantasy power armor. I can't use these. I don't want Space Marine pinhead knights with silly, inhuman proportions and comically oversized weapons. Your other fantasy Sisters range had normal scale weapons and reasonably good armor, and some of the best armored horses I've ever seen. I was really, really hoping for the masculine version of that army ... but this isn't it. I know a lot of the rest of you are AOS players and like this style a lot, but these are useless to me. I'll be skipping my first month of HI next month, and that makes me sad, because I *really* wanted knights. But not like this.

I love the Topic - especially for my Bretonians and Imperium. I like the Engineer so much, he looks like a sneaky and clever guy :D. But also the Virgin Oracle (would be a Wizard) and the Queen Saint (would be my Army Standard Bearer) are so amazing! Also the Reliquary (like the one from 40k, but here for Fantasy) are the one, I would Print for 100%! I think some Kinds of Warmachine is for a lot of Releases very nice. They dont have to be like a balista (here) or a canon (like "Halloween Circus"), I think something like a Sandstormmachine (Thieves), Bloody Altar (Vampires), "Whirlpool" Throne (Depth), an fat Spider - who can shoot Nets (Spider-Elves) and so on, could be an nice Part of a whole Release (maybe) :). My Thumbs are up - I am a very big fan since the first time, I saw some Miniatures from Raging Heroes :)

Of course people are going to use these for AoS, but they’re beautiful and very useful in any fantasy setting. Proxies in general are a terrible idea, though. Doing obvious proxies just means you’re joining the ranks of the OTHER hundred Patreons out there doing their own take on the same TWO games. Surprise fact: Not everyone in the world plays those two games and wants a 53rd interpretation of Necron. I love these knights and they’ll definitely get used in my RPG, though! (Also, there aren’t really any “pinups” here. Just badass women, one of which isn’t wearing much, but isn’t overtly sexualized for no good reason.)

One thing I always disliked about the Age of Sigmar stormcasts is that they were all too similar. You have cured that problem. Yur models have the feel of AOS knights, but without the repetitiousness of the Games workshop design. I love it. Can't wait to start printing.

Also, was super stoked to see a dragon. I also like that there's a ballista thrown in the mix, and I've got a soft spot for winged warrioresses.

OMG please tell me those robed figures for the Reliquary can be printed separate. Crazy release. I want about double the number of them for the Reliquary. Make an entire procession.

easily fixed: on youtube, just click on the gear icon in the lower right corner, then select Playback Speed and choose any speed below 1, that will slow it done nicely.

I think it one of my favourites, I really like what you guys have done. The whole set looks great.
I know it will be mentioned in the upcoming Sci-Fi post but I just wanted to repeat. I really really really want you to do Victoriana Steam punk, not Wild West steam punk.
I want corsets and mechanical limbs, I was industrial style rather than frontier style. Like the game “dishonoured” or like the comics “Lady Mechanika”

Looking forward to it. I like the trailers, but I really wish they would slow down enough that I could get a good solid look at the sculpts before they go whisking away.

I honestly think this is the start of an excellent precedent. Proxies & pinups are a combo I can 100% guarantee will result in more subs. Thank you for brushing off the sjw puritans and giving the silent majority what they really want!
