Not sure if you know at this point now but the man who played Brian (Graham Chapman) died young while the rest of the Monty Python group are still alive and in their 90s... and for his funeral the man who started the song (Eric Idle) sang it at his funeral. It became a top song among those sung at British funerals for quite a while (not sure whether it still is or not).
Likewise, the tall guy who played the Centurian and Reg, etc. (John Cleese) included in his eulogy a section of a classic sketch (the Monty Python group was originally a sketch show group) that he had written with Graham called The Parrot Sketch.
I strongly urge you to YT both The Parrot Sketch and then the funeral video of Cleese's and Idle's part on YT, too. The first is more zany and darkish fun by them (performed by Cleese and the ex-leper Michael Palin) and the funeral got laughs, too, in a sweet way.
