Not that bad obviously, but when you associate an actor with a certain character in your head, it distracts you from seeing them in the new role at least for a bit. That was what Adam Goldberg’s portrayal of Eddie did. Lol

Especially in this scenario with Rachel since she felt very caged because it’s how her life with her family and with Barry was like, so when Ross said that she’ll be fine when it’s their baby she immediately felt pressured because they hadn’t spoken about anything like that and she felt Ross was planning her life for her which she hates, so In my opinion I feel like Ross should have known she would react like that and probably shouldn’t have said it you know 😅 idk if I’m making sense hahaha that’s just how I feel in their situation I think

Its not like what ross planned is set in stone and is imposing on Rachel but its fine to think about it. For example its about to be four years only since I started to work but I wonder when I will be 58 or 60 I will retreat in village and I will spend more time with nature studying religious books. But depending on circumstances I might not be able to do that if my future wife still wants to live in city or any other responsibility may arise. But still I can keep planning, it doesn't cost anything.

If I can’t be brutally honest with you without you getting emotional then we aren’t friends. Being delusional and saying “everything will be ok” is frankly stupid when you can’t tell the future. The only way to fix things is to take action and not hope for the best. I think it’s an interesting difference about men and women that guys find tough to figure out is that men want solutions to their problems and so tough love is more natural for us but women want to vent their problems. For me it’s annoying listening to someone complain about something when they can fix it by taking the necessary steps so I tend to use the tough love treatment which hasn’t always gone down well in the past haha.

And I have to say Eddie colored my perception of his character there for a bit. Lol I kept expecting him to pull out the mannequin head from his pack or a Goldfish cracker from his pocket in a dramatic scene. Lol

Sometimes you have to give the hard truth for the better. I don't get why Carol gets to keep Ben so much longer when she was the one that was unfaithful. The show showed heavy bias towards the lesbian couple.
