Eddard Stark's Death

That moment you realize "s&*t just got real!"

Eddard Stark's Death

I believe what Joe is saying, but I also believe that Ned was never thinking of his own safety, just the safety of his girls. Im sure he knew he might die, which is why he didn't look surprised. So even though he gave his "confession", it was off the strength of saying or doing whatever he had to to protect his girls. And if he had to die, so be it. He knew who he was dealing with and what the possible outcome was, even though he may have hoped differently. But he probably ran through all his options ans knew, even if they didn't keep their word and killed him then, or some other time, like John Earon, he felt like it would at least be the last thing he could do in his power to keep punishment off of Sansa and Arya

This scene angered me as much as it did when I first saw it 8 yrs ago. I believe that all of these self centered actions by Sansa helped set the tone for her families downfall. Lying about the fight between Joffrey and Arya. Then after Ned instructed them to pack, and go back to Winterfell Sansa ran to tell that to Cersei (so many people forget about this detail). Finally begging her father to present himself as a traitor. And for what? To marry this horrible moist bastard prince? Which by the way, if you haven't guessed it, Joffrey and Sansa also made it to my top 5 hated characters.

I have to say that while I have now caught up to the end and seen all episodes. Watching this back now that I have become such a fan of Arya, it makes this scene even more emotional to watch it again. How he sees Arya on the statue, makes no request except that his friend save her, and noticing that the last thing he does is look to the statue to verify that she is gone... it hits me even harder than it did previously. Also, little young Arya is simply heartbreaking in this scene. Actually when I think back to season one, Arya is the focus of three scenes that have remained my favorite this whole time. #1. The archery scene when she hits the bullseye while they teach Bran to shoot. (Her little curtesy is the icing on that short scene) #2. The WHOLE scene when Jon gives her Needle remains one of the best in the series - I can’t wait for them to be reunited. He is going to be so proud of her and she is going to be his best ally as they go forward #3. This scene. For some reason the short clip where she is looking up to the sky and sees the birds — her face. 😢 Crushingly sad.

Sansa has been quite naive for the most part but to be honest, the only time I could ever feel any sympathy for her was when Ramsay raped her. She's always been childish, foolish and above all selfish. Sansa's actions were driven first and foremost for her own benefit to try and climb socially, she likes the attention and if she has to put anyone in second place, she will because her ambitions come first (even before her family). If Sansa loved her father that much she could have offered her own head instead 🤷🏻‍♀️🗡️

Love the rant! The writers wasted the first 5 seasons having her be a hostage and not having any development or anything interesting to do. In nearly every scene she’s being victimized/ crying or feeling sorry for herself. Boring!! And all she’s done in the last 2 seasons is take credit for winning the BoB, strut around Winterfell with an entitled air and be led around the nose by Littlefinger. Cause let’s keep it real, if Bran didn’t tell his sisters (off screen) about LF Arya & Sansa would have gone to war and my money is always on Arya. The writers spent 6 seasons building up Jon, Arya, Dany and Bran but hardly any time with Sansa and now they realize her resume is a little lite so they’ve been rushing to make her appear greater than she actually is so they can give her a glorious ending that feels earned, imo.

Yes! I and STILL angry about Sansa not telling Jon about the Knights of the Vale. She was the main in hollering about needing more men but most of the other houses wouldn’t help. So where the hell did she expect Jon to find these men? On top of that, they were late to the battle.

I always felt a lot of sympathy for Sansa b/c she was trying to keep Joffrey appeased and try to keep her family safe plus she was like 12 years old. She couldn’t play the game as well as Cersei and Joffrey. Ned’s death was a game changer for everyone.

Sansa irks like from birth she rubs me the wrong way shes a child yes but children too can be willfully blind. She's not a Stark she's a Tully to her dying day which is still an insult to the Blackfish. Sansa is a good character, but she is fucking so full of what I dont know. Herself? Ignorance? Nievity? In the books I still dont like her she doesn't suffer what she has suffered in the show, shes actually sort playing the game in the Vale and she's doing okay based on what she knows. But Sansa as she grows up is just begging for development and I'm still like....uck. They should have let her ass push Joffrey off the bridge then at least she'd die interesting. She hasn't developed any cunning in the show and thats what pisses me off. She's no smarter than when she started to me. Just scared and over reactive like Cersie. Talking out over Jon her King drew that line for me along with this scene. This wasnt her fault but from here on out she doesnt do or think of anything useful. She's sheep. And they use her as sheep because they know they can. She had the perfect opportunity to actually do some damage. Far as you know your whole fam is dead, throw a damn shoe Sansa! Get mad! In the books the whole time shes captive in Kings Landing her ass doesn't think of Arya but once...trash. I just do not approve of Sansa Stark. She's like Catlyn Tully, but slower to catch up with no experience. Sorry for my roast/rant. Seeing her nod at Ned to lie and ruin his name just pisses me off. If my dad is the most noble man ever I'm not gonna ask him to do this. I know she has too like she's trying to save his life but, they arent going to kill you they need you, Arya ass would have been locked up becasue she would not have done it not because shes a child but her father Pride and honor were on the line. Sansa makes decisions based on comfort. She likes being comfortable and thinks thats better than not right? Wrong. You see these people and exactly whats going on but Cat was too busy making you a spoiled ass with her nose up in the air for you to ever get a wif of reality. She could be redeemed, but it hasn't happened yet, not in the books and damn sure not in the show. I could give a fuck you half ass seduced little finger.

I started binge-watching GoT just two months before season 5 started & even though I had heard everyone ranting about Nedd having his head cut off I refused to believe it until I saw it in that very episode, when people said "no one is safe in this show" they really meant it. I still cry watching this scene. And when it comes to Nedd admitting the treason charges, he's just doing the same thing he did years before to keep Jon safe; his family and people in the North always came first so I understand him 💔

😂 Joe I feel you!! I get so triggered by Sansa. There’s a list of little reasons but how she didn’t stand tall for Arya against Joffrey and not telling telling Jon about the Knights of the Vale during the Battle of the Bastards is straight unforgivable. Weak character but they will find a way to make her Queen before it’s all done 😝
