Thank you for doing this reaction. Honestly, I'm pleasantly surprised by how much you enjoyed the trailer. My theory on MA, is that perhaps the "Dad" and MA were an couple, and he cheated on her with Maggie's mom. Remember she said all men were dogs, and all of the boys in the last clip of the trailer had dog collars on. She clearly has some resentment towards men. Maybe she just had a crush on this boy, and they played a some type of prank on her. I'm not sure what's upstairs, unless she has someone captured up there (in a Misery type of way). I don't think this will be scary in a traditional way, but it will definitely mess with your mind because anyone can be this crazy, and you would never know.

2019-03-06 13:36:05 +0000 UTCAfter watching this Iām thinking that the two masks that are shown in the trailer (1:22 and 2:09) must play some sort of significant role in the film. I did a few minutes of Google research and read that some African tribal masks were used in rituals for different reasons: the transition into manhood/womanhood (partying as a teenager?), war preparation and witchcraft (revenge?), protection from destruction (whatever harsh treatment Ma received as a kid/the fury of the parents?). I agree with Sam about this being a revenge flick...maybe those masks function as some sort of connection between what was done to Ma and the facilitation of her revenge?
