Lindsay Geektr0n's final shoot

My dear friend and muse Lindsay is retiring from modelling and, given her history in the games industry (and with games in general), I think it's rather fitting that her final set be inspired by the book 'Ready Player One'.

While we don't have an entirely clear picture of what the color scheme and overall look of the RPO film will look like (the teaser trailer doesn't help much), we knew that cramming a bunch of pseudo Oasis gear, harsh lights, and my Nintendo Power mag and poster collection into the scene would be a great start.

Here's what you should expect in your inboxes, tier dependent:

I also want to offer up a few pieces of this set to the public now (see attachments) since it takes me upwards of 6 months for me to post them to my website (I'm slow like that) I also don't really write or blog much (at all, really) but I would like to say a few more words about Lindsay and I hope you'll excuse me using Patreon as my own personal livejournal or whatever for a moment..

Lindsay and I met when she applied to work as the main editor and host of ZAM related video productions. Over the next several months, we traveled together a ton and became relatively close friends. Obviously, we had several discussions regarding her time as a model and my time as a photographer, conversations about various work related things always led to brainstorming photoshoot ideas.. but we never really acted on any because of our work relationship. Well, eventually we both broke down as some of the concepts were too interesting to us to just throw by the wayside..

We started with a simple shoot where we wanted to see what we could get when we shred a perfectly good top and then try some creative free-lensing (shooting through the lens without having it attached) to capture this dreamy/sexy style scene. The results were fairly interesting and we decided to push it that evening and try even more stuff. I was coming off an 18 month photography slump and Lindsay was directly and indirectly pushing me out of it.. The shots we took that night were artistic, sexy, and simply different from anything we had done in the past.

From that point on, Lindsay became my creative partner and muse. Any time we traveled, we tried something proper, weird, personal or all of the above. Even simple things like trying to visualize what waking up with Lindsay would look like (because who doesn't sleep with their makeup on and wakeup with it still perfect, right?)

I soon learned that Lindsay was exceptionally remarkable because she was willing to put herself into whatever character we would come up with. From embodying the seductress to visualizing the feeling of isolation. Sometimes we would just drive and pull over somewhere and snap some pics because I wanted to GPS log a neat place where I could shoot in the future and we're already here so why not shoot some test shots? Even our friends knew we were a team and would say things like "hey I'm checked out of my hotel, but the room is still available until noon, you two wanna use it to shoot?"  And throughout all this we even managed to get published somehow

Just this past year she helped me launch this Patreon with a fantastic set of images and behind-the-scenes content that really helped set the stage for the content that followed.  Even since, every time I had an opening or if she had some kind of beautifully crazy idea, we would link up and shoot... and then shoot some bonus stuff after

This year we got together and shot her last few scenes, the LED powered Lightbringer sets, the Ready Player One inspired scene and, of course, I couldn't not include my muse and creative partner in my on-going On Paper series.  Needless to say, I owe Lindsay a debt of gratitude for helping inspire me to create these past several years and being a wonderful friend on top of it... and I guess technically so do all of you who have enjoyed the pieces I've been putting out these past few years, yeah? ;)

The friendship part of all this will continue forward, of course, but if you're in need of some Lindsay content, you'll need to head over to her twitter or "Crazy Auntie Lindsay's tumblr"

Thanks , m'lnz, for being the muse and creative partner of every photographer's dreams (and for picking me!)

Glad ya guys had a blast together. Definitely some great pieces came from those shoots. I love the way "Test shots" came out, really gorgeous scene and lighting.
