Not sure what he has planned for this title but I'd bet interested to see him do a stretch on Wonder Woman to see where he takes the series. The Penguin I'm enjoying a lot less as I'm really not sure what it going for aside from the surface stuff. May just be me?

2024-02-23 22:15:06 +0000 UTCI’ll probably follow your lead and read this run after it’s complete. Tom King’s writing can be very mixed for me where they’ll be some days where I’ll flip flop on whether or not a story of his ultimately worked or not. That being said, I always prefer Wonder Woman stories when they hark back to her Golden Age tradition of addressing social issues in the vein of her original creator, that being unashamedly blunt or unsubtle. Whether or not that message works or is conveyed well remains to be seen until King is done but I can appreciate the approach.

2024-02-23 21:37:06 +0000 UTCI'm pretty sure you're smart enough. Are there any specific comics you have in mind? After all, not everything is references and metaphors. I did do that for Mister Miracle and The Invisibles, so it's in my wheelhouse.
