The two prior videos I mentioned (Ditko and The Murphyverse) I decided to switch gears and finally do the Cerebus video I've been building towards for years: Jaka's Story.
I've actually had the script for this since December...which gives you an idea of how backlogged my scripts can get at times. But, with this one, I wanted to sit on it of a while to make sure it was as good as it can be. For story, character and artwork analysis, it's probably the best I've ever done.
Well, enough hyping. Time to get back to work.

That's where I'm at. It's an amazing series...to a point. And, with Jaka's Story, I genuinely think he produced something that was absolutely incredible.

Been hackering after more Cerebus analysis from you since I first started watching as you provide such a balanced and nuanced view ... but mainly cos for all the problems I have with Dave Sim, Cerebus is still one of the finest, if not the finest comics I've read... well the first 200ish issues at least.

2023-09-12 15:41:39 +0000 UTCBeen waiting on this one a while. I've watched the previous installments in your Cerebus series several times, I don't think I've seen anyone contextualize Sim's work and legacy pre and post meltdown with as much nuance.
