THE LOSTLANDS
Personally, this is one of my favorite zones in the game. It's Greco-Roman themed (in the sense that the ruins there are) and has a tribal theme for the race that lives there. You'll remember that we talked about the URRD last time? Well the Lostlands are the home of the AARD, the stokenekin anthro-animal race who emulates the Mortal races. The Aard traveled for many years to find their place of creation. Upon arriving in the Lostlands, they discovered broken stonework which was much like themselves in design. It was then that they set up shop to investigate their own creation.

They travel from world to world, meeting with and helping other races, in order to better emulate 'living things' and answer the question, 'Are we alive?'. As you take on the Maker's Hammer & Heart trial, you'll get to help them find their creator, and answer this query for themselves.
TURN CRANK PFFT
When my children were young they couldn't say Robot. It always came out Go-Bots. And when I asked them why they were called that, they always told me it was because they could 'Go Dad!'.
Well, we've brought back the innocence of the Robot who can Go! (Dad).

Turn, Crank... Pfft is one of the smaller endgame zones, but that's because it both connects to several sections of LORE, and because it's one of the only secondary zones to contain a lot of dungeons. There's a single Temple, like every other zone, but there are several hidden doors which lead to unique content related to the crafting system. There are also several end game quests which connect to this area for the purpose of gaining mastery over the Time Travel system.
The Go Bots are also questioning their own value in the universe. But not because they doubt that they are alive. In fact, it's the opposite problem. These quirky little machines believe themselves to be full fledged people. They somehow have a smattering of memories from Mortal lives, and can't explain it.
As you progress through their story, you'll come to understand what happened to a prior civilization, and to the 'Tomatons over in Emberspark. This connection should leave you with a smile and a tear, not to mention some fairly epic loot. After all, if you want to conquer the loot crafting system you're going to need help from our little friends.
And it's just possible you might find your way to a shortcut or two to other worlds if you're lucky. This time-trial and speed-run friendly content will be key if you're going to get the most powerful gear the fastest. Or... ya know... if you want to have access to the Spirit Train stations.
ONE ZONE REMAINS
There is but one Zone remaining to be built. (Not including the re-design of Vulcanus to include its underground city). Before we begin the tech refresh, and Main Story Milestone, we have to build our Boss Castle. Noctis Rex is a beautiful, dark zone, populated by a rather disturbing group of NPCs. I'd love to go into more detail, but... spoilers. So suffice it to say, our morose Castle Town will be the final zone we bust out before the end of the Milestone, and the tour of all that we've created so far.
Skyrim Style games, especially ones with the Puzzle Depth of Zelda are not one-man-team-projects. But we're on a good schedule, and the title is coming together spectacularly. Soon we'll have some epic gameplay trailers to show off of the story, as its forming.
For now, you can look forward to the Last Zone Reveal, and the Vulcanus Expansion, and then the NPC/Zone Walkthrough reveal. It's all very exciting when you get to the end of a big Milestone!
Stay tuned!
